This is called me being emo
April 29th, 2008 Posted in INNER BATTLES + DEMONS
So, yes I’m runnin’ away, again…
I’ll let you know if it was worth it, in a couple of years
Because then, I can say: yes!
And mean it, wholeheartedly.
Because I need more than one year
It’s not even fear that I’m runnin’ away from…
You see, I’m only trying to escape
That part of me
That has thought of you
Each day since you left.

There’s nothing wrong with being emo…Sometimes.
Hope you’re doing well and continue to do well.

I am not allowed to say “EMO”- at least not around my 15 year old son. He thinks he knows EMO better then me. He also thinks he know what punk is and a whole bunch of other topics that I could school him on.
I told him “look until you listen to Morrissey and the Smiths for hours on end, chain smoking and wondering when your nutty boyfriend is going to call you back, don’t tell me you know EMO…”
He said, “I’ll let you know when the happens MOM!”
My son loses a $1.25 in a pop machine and gets surly about it the whole drive home from school and thinks he’s Mr. EMO… HA HA!
I am ok with the running away part, where are we running away too, because if it’s good I would like to run away too.

You ok!? It is always good to go to church (youthful ones, not old and boring ones). Find a youthful small group and I’m sure you’ll start to feel better in a few weeks!
